Reflecting on Your 2025 Goals

How are your goals coming along for 2025? Can you believe that 2025 is coming to an end!?

The Power of Confession

Did you know that our confessions—what we say with our mouths—rule us?
This spiritual law is a key component that either helps or hinders our pursuit of our goals.

What Scripture Says About Your Words

Let’s look at a few foundational scriptures:

  • Romans 10:9–10 (NKJV)
“…if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart…you will be saved.”
  • Proverbs 6:2 (NKJV)
“You are snared by the words of your mouth…”
  • Mark 11:23 (NKJV)
“…whoever says to this mountain…believes…he will have whatever he says.”

These verses reveal a powerful truth:
What we say with our mouths and believe in our hearts shall be done—positive or negative.

Pause and Reflect

Take a moment to meditate on this:

  • What do you say about yourself?
  • What do you say about the situations you face?
  • What do you say concerning difficulties?

Gideon: A Mighty Man of Valor

In Judges 6:11–23, we read about Gideon’s encounter with the angel of the Lord:

“The Lord is with you, you mighty man of valor!”

Gideon didn’t see himself that way. He responded:

“How can I save Israel? My clan is the weakest…and I am the least…”

Yet God affirmed:

“Surely I will be with you, and you shall defeat the Midianites as one man.”

God’s word was final. Gideon was already a mighty man of valor—because God said so.

What God Says About You

God has spoken many things about you as a believer in Jesus Christ.
Jesus modeled this for us: He consistently confessed who He is, what He is, and His mission.
